Where Lions Used to Live Versus Where They Live Now
This map (follow the link) shows where lions used to live in Africa (in red). And where
lions live now (in blue). This doesn't even mention the complete
elimination of lions from other places they used to live, like Europe.
The bigger the human population, the smaller the lion population.
